Philip Gary Bova, age 79 went to heaven Friday, July 8, 2022. Gary was born on January 7, 1943 to the late Philip Howard and Lola (Scott) Bova.

He attended Grove City High School. He served in the United States Air Force. He retired as a Lieutenant from the City of Columbus Fire Department in 1995. He worked on the 1st Heartmobile in the U.S. and was later awarded the Maltese Cross Award for bravery in the line of duty (1989).

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Mary Ann (Kruse) Bova, brother Scott (Rhonda) Bova, children Carol (Phil) Louden, Christian (Kelly) Bova, grandchildren Jacob (Becca) Bova, Amber Bova, Meredith Louden, Abigail Bova, Mitchell Louden.

A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a future date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations can be made to Alzheimer’s Association.org
